Steve joined Man Group in 1988, initially working on the commodity futures desk catering to both trade customers and to the new trend-following CTA sector. In 1994 he moved onto the Interest Rates desk just in time to witness the great bond crash of that year. From that point until 2011, Steve remained in rates, servicing Banks, Real Money and Hedge Funds as Man Financial grew into the world’s biggest interest rate futures broker. This period included the Asian Financial crisis, LTCM failure, the tech bubble, the creation of the Euro, the sub-prime meltdown through to the European debt crisis which at the end of 2011 claimed MF Global, the successor to Man Financial. At this point Steve and fellow desk heads from MF founded Aviate Futures, now Archr. Steve covers G7 rates with a specialism in UK rates.

James commenced his career as a futures broker in Sydney in 2003. He was recruited by BGC Partners at its Australian inception in 2005 to work on the futures desk, and was quickly promoted to Interest Rate Swaps, before being seconded to London to grow the business’s 24-hour service with Australia. In 2008, James joined MF Global to help Ashley Joye manage a rapidly growing futures and options franchise, with a focus on the Australian, UK, US and European markets. In 2012, along with four of his MF Global colleagues, James was a founding partner of Aviate Futures, now Archr. While James is an Asia-Pacific rates specialist, he covers global interest rate futures and options for a wide range of Institutional customers. His key strengths include generating and executing trade ideas and strategies, new business development and graduate training.

Keith entered the markets in 1997 joining Lind Waldock’s London retail desk servicing high net worth individuals across global commodity and rates futures. Having swiftly risen to a management role for the desk Keith was chosen to join and assist in the growth of the company’s institutional desk where he developed a specialism in relative value of complex spread strategies.
In 2000 he joined Refco, adding to their well established institutional team and widened his reach to numerous top tier bank and hedge fund clients. During his tenure at Refco Keith developed an interest in option volatility and pricing and grew a commanding presence in servicing OTC option clients on exchange.
It is this business line which attracted Man Financial to bring Keith to their market leading options broking desk where he helped add liquidity and refine pricing.

Ashley came to London with Deutsche Bank after working on the Sydney Futures exchange floor in the 10yr pit. With the onset of electronic trading and the changing landscape, Ash was a leading broker of SFE interest rate futures both in Australia and from London. After two years in London, Ash was hired to run MF Global’s London based Aussie franchise. With a growing client base Ash hired more staff and expanded his coverage to all Interest rate products from Sydney through Singapore, Asia, London and Europe and into the US. Ash covers Banks hedge funds and trends following CTA accounts across all exchanges.

Alan started his career in 1994 on the LIFFE Floor with Gerald & National Inter-Commodities servicing the needs of top tier banks in the STIR markets of DM, Lira and Swiss. He remained with GNI through takeovers by Old Mutual and then by Man Group to help create Man Financial, the world’s largest futures broker. Once there Alan established a successful business growing a huge presence in quarterly rolls and becoming a specialty link between FI and Equities. Alan’s many years of experience have seen him develop a keen eye for value and his insights are central to Archr’s option idea generation.
